Questions

FAQ

Can Orchestrator format my USB drive?

No, and neither can any website. Browsers are deliberately walled off from formatting or erasing drives, and that’s a security guarantee you want. What Prepare Show Drive does instead is the part people actually get wrong: it writes the LightShow folder onto your drive with every file named and ordered exactly the way your Tesla expects, and touches nothing else. Most drives already come exFAT or FAT32; if yours isn’t, the wizard detects it and shows you the 20-second format steps for Mac or Windows.

Is this an official Tesla product?

No. MARQUEE is an independent company, not affiliated with or endorsed by Tesla. The Orchestrator is a registered third party application on Tesla's official Fleet API: owners grant temporary, revocable access through Tesla's own login and key approval. No hacks, no workarounds, no password sharing.

Is it safe? What about unlocking and Sentry Mode?

You stay in control of your car at all times. Orchestrator access is limited to what's needed to run a light show, and you approve it yourself through Tesla's key approval flow. It never touches locks, driving functions, or personal data.

During a show, follow the same practices Tesla recommends for its own light show feature: park safely, keep the car in Park, and be mindful of Sentry Mode and battery level. Your car behaves exactly as it would running a light show you loaded yourself.

How do I revoke Orchestrator's access?

Any time, in seconds. Access is granted through your own Tesla account, and you can remove it there the same way you remove any third party app. Once revoked, MARQUEE has no access to your car at all. Access granted for an event is temporary by design.

Do I still need a USB drive for my own light shows?

Yes. Shows built in the Studio export as standard .fseq files, and Tesla's custom light show feature loads them from a USB drive in your car. The Studio manual walks through formatting the drive and folder layout step by step.

What does membership cost, and what do I get?

Light Shows Only is $1.99/month; free followers can download free shows, and paid members unlock premium shows too. Marquee Member is $2.99/month and adds the Studio, which runs right on this website, always the newest version, nothing to download. Orchestrator tiers at $10, $15, and $25/month (up to 10, 100, and 1000 cars) are available now in open beta, and every member can try the director chair with up to 2 cars. See Membership for details.

What happens if I cancel?

Any shows you've exported and any drives you've prepared are yours forever; they're standard files your car plays on its own. The Studio runs on this website, so when your membership ends, Studio access, library downloads, and the director console lock until you rejoin. Projects saved in your browser stay on your computer and reopen the moment you're back.

How do refunds work?

All billing runs through Patreon, so refunds follow Patreon's refund policy and are handled through Patreon support. If something isn't working for you, reach out to us first; we'd rather fix the problem.

Which Tesla models are supported?

Any Tesla that supports custom light shows via USB works with Studio exports, including Cybertruck. The Studio includes per model channel layouts so your choreography matches the lights your car actually has.
