01What the Studio is

Marquee Light Show Studio turns your Tesla into an instrument. You choreograph every light on the car to any song you choose, preview it on a moving car model, and export a real, verified Tesla light show file. Drop that file on a USB drive and your car performs it. No coding, no guesswork: if you can drag a box on a timeline, you can build a show.

The Studio is in open beta. Report rough edges and ideas through the MARQUEE Patreon; your reports shape every patch.

02Getting in: the 2.0 way

The Studio now lives on the website. Go to marqueelightshow.com/studio.html, sign in with your Patreon account (Studio is included at $2.99/month and above, and every Director tier), and press Launch the Studio. It runs entirely in your browser.

• No downloads, no versions. Every launch runs the newest build. We update it; you get it.
• Your projects save in your browser on this device, automatically. Use the Studio's own Save and Open to keep named projects, and export a project file if you want a copy elsewhere.
• Works offline once loaded, nothing leaves your machine while you work.
• Full screen: use Open full screen on the Studio page for a dedicated tab.

03A first show in ten minutes

1. Load your song. The waveform lays out the whole track; the playhead follows the music.
2. Paint light clips. Drag across any channel (headlights, light bars, turn signals, interior, and more) to create a clip. Stretch it, move it, layer it, stack effects.
3. Smooth it. Drag a clip's corner grips for fade in and fade out; overlapping clips crossfade on their own.
4. Preview. Press play and watch the car perform it, with a cinematic camera option.
5. Export. The Studio verifies your file against Tesla's own format before it hands it to you. What you see is exactly what the car performs.

04Tools that do the hard part

Templates

Instant choreography: meteor, fire, rain, police strobes, and Morse code that spells real messages in light (type the text; the Studio times the dots and dashes). Drop one in, then tweak it like any clip.

Palettes

Restyle an entire show's look in one click with show palettes; clips remap to the new palette without re-editing.

Stretch and share

Select clips and stretch them to a new length as a group. Share a selection with another designer as a share code (copy, paste, done).

Live capture

Perform a show on the keyboard while the song plays, number keys fire channels, and the Studio records your timing as clips. Great for finding the groove fast.

05Multi-car productions

Build a production: every car gets its own part, and the Studio exports a separate verified file for each. This is how a nine-part song becomes a fleet show. Pair it with Orchestrator's show packages and roles: upload each part as that role's file, and every car in the show receives exactly its part, in the right slot, from one button.

06Exporting and loading the car

1. Export from the Studio. You get the light show file and keep your song's audio alongside it.
2. On a USB drive, create a folder named LightShow and put both files inside (same base name, for example myshow.fseq and myshow.wav). Or let Orchestrator's Prepare Show Drive do it for any show you publish.
3. Plug the drive into the car's glovebox USB port. In the car: Toybox → Light Show, pick your show.
